Design for print
A poster series I made in my first year. We had to take a closer look at specific locations within the school and use them as an inspiration for a poster series. For this poster series I decided to use the trash cans in the work space as inspiration. The trash itself, but also the lines and shapes close to the trash cans were used. The posters compliment each other and because of the color scheme and reoccurring shapes you can see that it is a series, even if you don’t see them next to each other.
Process
I started experimenting with different contours of trash and after that started adding more color and shapes. I wanted to remix the different shapes, , so that they were not necessarily noticable, and more interesting. The vibrancy of different colors were also used to experiment with, this in contrast to colors we think of when we hear the word “trash”.
